I have been longing to visit Tamarind Restaurant since the time I have followed them on social media. The food pictures are really mouth watering. And I made it to the place few days back.
The interior of the restaurant is really posh, modern yet elegant - the reception & the front dining area and then a family area where we sat and it was really cozy.
We were greeted by the staff all over when we entered. They all were with a great smile and well groomed. Ms. cherry was our lady - she was very attentive, smiling throughout and very good with kids.

Let's talk about the food, we were served with a complimentary appetizer at first which was a cauliflower fritter. I am not that sure but I felt I got a doughy taste a bit.

And then our ordered meal, must mention that the presentation of each plate is commendable. well done.

Chaats & Sundal : it had Chana chaat with cauliflower Bhaji, bhelpuri, panipuri & mini idles . The pani for the panipuri was served in style - molecular gastronomy , you could see fumes coming from the pani when they pour some liquid into it. It was a good start!!

Chicken pepper bites : this was absolutely great. Very crunchy with a kick or pepper. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Chicken malai seekh kebab - the meat was tender with some nice flavour. But not the best I have had in Doha.

Achari ghosht Biryani - again the taste was okay. Something like a normal ghost biryani. I did not actually got the taste of an achari ghost.

Pannacotta Sampler - this was the dish of the day. It was rich, smooth with a gentle wobble. The sampler had 3 different flavours : madras degree coffee, dates & cardamom. Surprisingly the dates pannacotta was absolutely gorgeous. Must try.

The drinks were tamarind signature and  spiced mango passion fruits . both were nice .

 For two, it costs around QAR.300/- .

Final verdict : This place is  worth a visit for the ambience and some nice food for a change. highly priced. This is not the best in Doha & It could not make me to crave for their food again.
